Hello. I’m Mike Borozdin. I'm pretty passionate about IT and programming and I'm just about to get a Master's degree from the University of Edinburgh (UK) and the University of Trento (Italy).
I’ve been programming since I was 12 when I was learning C/C++ because I wanted to write games. Yeah! I wanted to start a company that would make computer games because this business seemed to be very profitable and I thought I’d become a multi-millionaire with that:).
Besides studing I recently did an internship at SAP where I was involved in computer security topics. Of course, it was not just about dry theory I also did a good deal of programming and quite lots of talks and presentations. Yes, I do enjoy talking and sharing my knowledge and experience with other people. For that reason I was a Microsoft Student Partner for two years both in the UK and in Russia (my home country). During that time I learn a lot about speaking at conferences and organising events.
In spite of being seem sometimes as a very technical person I do also hold a Bachelor's degree in Management. And as a natural result of that (and not only of that) I strongly believe that even software developers and other technical persons should be business aware and posses good people skills.
Regarding my personal life and interests besides computers and the Internet, I’m a huge music fan who enjoys many musical styles from classic rock and alternative to flamenco and avangarde jazz. I’m learning to play a classical guitar, but I’m not a great guitarist:). I enjoy cinema classics and art house films. I love travelling to different countries and enjoy Formula 1 and other kinds of autosport.
